From the Marines to Master Carpentry
Ian Beaule's path to carpentry began in the United States Marine Corps, where he developed the discipline, attention to detail, and accountability that define his work today. After completing his service, Ian pursued his passion for building by apprenticing under experienced finish carpenters, learning the techniques and standards that separate quality craftsmanship from ordinary construction.
Through years of hands-on training in high-end residential projects, Ian honed his skills in custom trim, cabinetry installation, and kitchen design. He studied how wood behaves in different environments, how joints need to be cut for lasting integrity, and how finish details transform the feel of a room.
In 2023, Ian founded Maineland Carpentry & Finish with a clear mission: to provide Southern Maine homeowners with the same caliber of finish carpentry found in premium metropolitan markets, backed by the reliability and integrity of a veteran-owned business. Based in Casco, the company serves communities from Portland to Naples and beyond, bringing precision craftsmanship to every project regardless of size.
